Putin in Pink

After this:
it's pretty clear how to get under big Vlad's skin.

After this:
you can see why he deserves it.

I invite you all to submit drawings/sketches/paintings/photomontages/sculptures of Putin in women's underwear to putininpink@yahoo.co.uk. I'm in the process of setting up dedicated blog, watch this space (assuming I don't die a high suspicious radiation related death first)

The Spy Who Loved Me

Not actually that much of James Bond fan, he's a bit of a violent misogynist...

Google Poetics

I got introduced to Google Poetics the other day, a genius idea where people submit poems written (that's the right word!) by google predictive searches. Apart from some of them being pretty funny, they are also quite poignant since the predictions google comes up with are the result of millions of searches by people across the world which makes them an interesting combination of found art and global collaboration.

Huge MacDiariarmid

This one goes out to my good friend Ed who has just finished he's dissertation on Scot's poet Huge MacDiariarmid (real name Hugh MacDiarmid). Well done dude!

Without Dreams We'd Just Have Sleep

It's festival time again! I went to see the totally awesome David O'Docherty last year and this is a quote a from one of his silly songs (if you've not heard it, it's very funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRyo3YP9N6s) I like it because it sounds deep but without actually meaning anything (like most 'deep' bullshit).

Monk as Fuck

That dude's totally monastic, big time ecclesiastical, he's got a serious habit, practicing religious asceticism to the max (or min depending on how you look at it), etc, etc.

Dan vs Forms

I don't like forms. I have a grievance with forms. I think you can keep more people down with impenetrable bureaucracy than you can with with guns and riot shields. People treat forms as fair and impartial but I reality they favour the sort of boring, unimaginative fuckwit who are revel in repeatedly stating their name and address and can reel off the right buzzwords to get what they want. I don't think you really learn anything from forms. Forms suck.
